Chief Minister Harish Rawat will inaugurate the ‘Vibrant Uttarakhand Trade Fair 2015’being organised by the India International Trade Event Organisation (IITEO) and the Industries Association of Uttarakhand (IAU) on February 12. The eight-day-fair, which will end on February 18, will feature live performances by ‘Badshah’ and the band ‘The Indian Roots’ on the evening of February 13.

“The fair is being organised to provide people with information regarding the latest schemes and progress made by major institutions in the fields of banking, real estate, tourism, handloom and handicraft, environment, science etc. The National Vendor Development Programme will also be promoted during the fair. Buyers and sellers will be brought face-to-face for discussion on issues such as quality of products,” said IITEO chairman BS Negi.

Negi added that ONGC, National Jute Board, HCL, National Institute of Hydrology, Gale, Nilaya Hills and Hotel Four Point Sheraton were among the key sponsors of the event. The event will feature the latest industrial technologies by IIP, CBRI, UCOST, DIT, UPES, Graphic Era and others. Components from industry sourcing will be displayed by BHEL, Ordnance Factory, Opto Electronics, UJVN Ltd, UPCL and others.

IITEO director Samrat Kumar and IAU chairman Pankaj Gupta were present on the occasion.
